Weekly I’ll have something new to learn or a straightforward task to make.

(There it’s still regular articles and guides blended in too.) All of the conversation and jobs will involve applying sewing machines. There is a several give sewing threads, but I will be concentrating primarily on sewing with a machine. You’ll know it’s the main Sewing 101 Series because you’ll see that cool logo. (above)

Today I’ll begin the collection speaking about something really simple:

Getting to know your sewing machine.
Every sewing machine is different, nevertheless the same.

Think of it such as for instance a car. You may get an applied one, an vintage one, your basic model, the the top of line luxury design or anything among – ideal for the family. All of them get you from A to T (I suggest sew), but there is also various features, top rates, and feel different as you sew with them. And sure, as being a car, specific machines are made much better than others.

You do not require a nice device to start. Anything simple can work. Understand the thing you need and you are able to always update later.

The 2 (working) sewing models I’ve within my house are extremely basic. A Singer Self-confidence 7470 and a Janome Hi Kitty machine (which belongs to my six year old). Equally get the work performed, but have very different feels. I do most of my sewing on the Singer — actually the quilting.

My artist is not really a the top of the range equipment, but it is actually nice. It operates great and has all the functions I need.
