Weekly I’ll have anything new to understand or a simple task to make.

(There will still be regular threads and lessons blended in too.) The majority of the conversation and projects will involve using sewing machines. There would have been a several hand sewing posts, but I’ll be focusing mostly on sewing with a machine. You’ll know it’s the main Sewing 101 Line since you’ll see this cool logo. (above)

Nowadays I’ll start off the series speaking about something very fundamental:

Observing your sewing machine.
Every sewing device is significantly diffent, nevertheless the same.

Consider it just like a car. You will get an applied one, an classic one, your fundamental model, the the top of range luxury product or something among – great for the family. All of them get you from A to B (I mean sew), but they likewise have different functions, prime rates, and feel various as you sew with them. And sure, as being a car, specific machines are designed a lot better than others.

You do not require a fancy machine to start. Anything simple can work. Learn what you need and you are able to generally update later.

The 2 (working) sewing models I’ve within my home are extremely basic. A Artist Self-confidence 7470 and a Janome Hello Kitten unit (which goes to my six year old). Both get the job performed, but have different feels. I really do all of my sewing on the Performer — actually the quilting.

My artist is not just a the the surface of the range equipment, but it’s really nice. It performs good and has most of the characteristics I need.
