Every week I’ll have anything new to understand or an easy challenge to make.

(There it’s still usual articles and lessons blended in too.) The majority of the debate and jobs calls for applying sewing machines. There will be a several give sewing posts, but I’m going to be focusing primarily on sewing with a machine. You’ll know it’s area of the Sewing 101 Collection since you’ll see this cool logo. Nowadays I’ll start out the series discussing anything very fundamental:

Getting to know your sewing machine.
Every sewing device is significantly diffent, but the same.

Think of it just like a car. You may get an applied one, an vintage one, your basic product, the the top of range luxurious model or anything in between – great for the family. All of them allow you to get from A to B (I suggest sew), but they also have various features, prime rates, and sense various as you sew with them. And sure, just like a vehicle, certain models are built a lot better than others.

That you don’t desire a extravagant equipment to start. Anything simple will work. Learn the thing you need and you are able to generally update later.

The two (working) sewing devices I’ve in my own house are very basic. A Performer Confidence 7470 and a Janome Hello Kitty machine (which belongs to my six year old). Equally get the task done, but have completely different feels. I actually do most of my sewing on the Performer — actually the quilting.

My artist is not really a the top of the point unit, but it is actually nice. It operates good and has all of the characteristics I need.
