Great Screen hand-stitching: sashiko cheat sheet – imagine gnats Strategies

Every week I’ll have anything new to understand or a simple task to make.

(There will still be standard articles and guides mixed in too.) All the discussion and jobs calls for applying sewing machines. There would have been a several give sewing threads, but I’ll be concentrating largely on sewing with a machine. You’ll know it’s area of the Sewing 101 Collection since you’ll see this cool logo. (above)

Today I’ll start out the collection speaking about something very basic:

Learning your sewing machine.
Every sewing equipment differs, nevertheless the same.

Consider it just like a car. You may get a used one, an old-fashioned one, your standard product, the the top of line luxury model or something among – ideal for the family. All of them enable you to get from A to W (I suggest sew), but they likewise have different features, prime speeds, and experience different as you sew with them. And sure, as being a car, particular products are built a lot better than others.

You don’t need a expensive machine to start. Anything easy will work. Understand things you need and you are able to generally update later.

The 2 (working) sewing devices I have in my home are extremely basic. A Singer Confidence 7470 and a Janome Hi Pet machine (which belongs to my six year old). Equally get the task performed, but have very different feels. I really do all of my sewing on the Performer — actually the quilting.

My artist is not really a the top of the range machine, but it is actually nice. It operates good and has all the characteristics I need.
