Every week I’ll have anything new to master or a simple challenge to make.

(There will still be typical articles and lessons mixed in too.) All the conversation and projects will involve using sewing machines. There would have been a few hand sewing threads, but I’ll be focusing primarily on sewing with a machine. You’ll know it’s area of the Sewing 101 Series since you’ll see this cool logo. (above)

Nowadays I’ll start out the line referring to something very simple:

Observing your sewing machine.
Every sewing equipment is different, but the same.

Think of it such as for instance a car. You will get an applied one, an vintage one, your simple model, the the surface of the line luxurious model or anything in between – ideal for the family. They all enable you to get from A to T (I suggest sew), but they likewise have various characteristics, prime speeds, and sense different as you sew with them. And sure, as being a vehicle, certain machines are designed a lot better than others.

That you don’t desire a nice equipment to start. Something easy will work. Understand the thing you need and you are able to always upgrade later.

The 2 (working) sewing machines I’ve in my own house are extremely basic. A Singer Assurance 7470 and a Janome Hi Kitty equipment (which belongs to my six year old). Equally get the job performed, but have completely different feels. I really do every one of my sewing on the Singer — actually the quilting.

My performer is not just a the top of the line equipment, but it is actually nice. It performs great and has all the functions I need.
